About this speaker
Tricia came to linguistic phonics as a secondary English teacher, English Language graduate and relational youth worker. She created That Reading Thing after meeting local teens whose reading prevented them from engaging in high school. The journey that started around her kitchen table in 1999 has led to working internationally with teachers and tutors from every educational setting imaginable. She has become an expert in answering the question, “How do we use phonics to teach teenagers (and adults) to read?”
