Securing Exemplary Behaviour to Optimise Phonics Teaching

In this session, Andrew will describe how his school, Stanley Road Primary, have optimised their phonics teaching by ensuring all pupils demonstrate the highest standards of behaviour at all times. Stanley Road pupils are systematically taught a curriculum for behaviour which means that whole class phonics lessons are highly effective. Andrew will explore how his school have developed this behaviour curriculum, how it is explicitly taught and the impact it has on learning.
